Makeup - I need a break !!

Hi Guys ,

If you did land to this page and wanted to go through the idea of "taking a break" from makeup ! Kudos to you ! You are already on the mindset to feel happy within your own skin and flaunt it like anything with or without any imperfections.

Believe me, I love makeup myself ! I had been a makeup queen myself wearing tons of layers and displaying ostentatiously . I was in love with the idea of makeup and how easily I could be flawless at all times . Came gingerly to a point wherein I thought I am incomplete without makeup . I didn't wanted to go out without bb's and cc's on my skin. Also to add , I could notice my skin becoming more needy for makeup . That's when i decided STOP ! I need a break ! ... and then there was a breakup with "Makeup".

I firmly believe everyone needs a makeup break from time to time . Yes these fancy glosses and foundations can definitely boost our sense of confidence out and about but slathering out in those coats of makeup can be pretty unhealthy to our skin, so putting a pause button on these products and opting for a makeup free fresh face there may be some serious health benefits you never expected .

Here's what happens to your face when we stop wearing makeup -

- Our pores will shrink  -  Foundation . blush or bronzer might look nice in all , but underneath the surface these tiny makeup particles accumulate in our pores , Along with the air pollutants our skin is exposed to everyday ,causing our pores becomes clogged and enlarged overtime. Going makeup free and regular cleansing minimises buildup inside the pores and reduces sagging and wrinkle formation in the long run .

- Fewer breakouts - The more makeup we use the more toxins and chemical compounds we are putting on our face . Not to forget all the bacteria stuff that builds up on our makeup brushes that we don't clean on a regular basis . All these germs not only clogs pores but also causes inflammation leading to more breakouts that we end up desperately try to cover up with more "makeup".

- Fewer eye infections - Mascara works wonders to make our lashes look longer and this turns as a fantasy how much our eyes can pop up with a little ink . but unfortunately most eye makeup causes preservatives which can cause eye irritations , red eyes , swelling , dryness and also itching . Plus germs can easily spread using eye makeup from person to person .

-Goodbye to dry skin – Makeup messes with our natural cell renewal process , which can damage our surface , specially on the nights when we are too tired to take off our makeup. Allowing makeup overnight like this allows the dead skin cells to residue along with the makeup and interrupts the formation of new skin cells, which leads to a dull skin tone . So washing to all away leaves us a face which is more vibrant , glowy and hydrated.

-Fewer allergic reactions- Everyday makeup and skincare products are filled with elements like parabens , sulphates and metals which are amongst the various substances that commonly cause allergic reactions . A bad reactions to these substances can led to dermatitis. Which appears as a red bumpy patch on the surface of the skin and causes itching . If that happens its best to ditch the product. Going makeup free ofcouse can avoid this problem altogether.

-A healthier you – Besides reducing breakouts, evening your skintone and helping you face looking and feeling healthier ditching your makeup addiction can have positive effects on your body as well . Because these pesky contingents found in lipsticks and eye shadows can take a toll on the health of other parts of your body as well . Like increasing high blood pressure , behavioural abnormalities and even impacts our fertility so while you don’t have to keep away from makeup forever , it might not be a bad idea to give your bode a break from this stuff every now and then .

With no offenses to anyone ! Love your self and love makeup , but ofcouse not to an extend that you need to hide yourself underneath it <3 <3

Personal Favorite

My Personal Style

Hi everyone,  I'm really glad to have finally started off . I've waited so long for this day. Hope you like my posts as much as I like working on them.

Since this is the first post , I decided to go with something very personal , exclusive . Something I can relate my style to . Something being "ethnic" . Isn't there something so magical about suits , sarees and lehengas , differing in the way it's draped , colours , the kinds of prints , embroideries or work done. So much to experiment while sticking to our rich culture.

Having a wardrobe filled with ethnic clothes in all shades of reds and blues, I am always craving for something more colourful that matches my mood and the occasion. I strongly believe what you wear uplifts or synchronises with your mood . At least mine does ! Relating more to the situation upfront in case I am out for function I am all in colourful vibes and into florescent pinks and purples , perplexing the situation I might want to long into something in a soft and subtle shade , more like sea green or fon colours , merged with vintage inspired large temple border pattern with some modern gold embroidery on the raw silk skirt , also to close the look maybe an embellished net dupatta to fall on the basic blouse.

I can feel the elegance and persona one carries while wearing ethnics. Even a white cotton kurta on blue denims stacked with classic vintage danglers can be a spot on , sexy yet classy and chic at the same time.

For me dressing up is all about your comfort and one who feels good certainly looks good . My personal opinion says fashion is something dictated to you , its always important for your clothes to be an extension of your personality. You need to feel like you're wearing the clothes and the clothes ain't wearing you !! Weather it being a function or if I am just sitting at home and chilling you just need to feel comfortable in whatever you wear . Whenever my ethnics are well draped and the hair and makeup is just perfect. This certainly ends up being my best looks.  :)
